I’ve been at a shoe company for over 15 years as one of the top members in the company. When I first started out, I was just a low level employee, but I worked my way to the top. I was chosen to come to the UK on a Sole Representative Visa business plan to set up a branch. This was a big step for me, because it meant that I would be spear heading a major operation on my own, and also because it meant that I would me moving to a foreign country.
All of my life was back in my home country, and I had family and friends that I had to say goodbye to before I left. I wasn’t married, nor did I have any kids, so I didn’t have to worry about relocating them, but I was still going to miss everyone that I knew. I could still talk to them on the phone and with the Internet, but it wasn’t going to be the same as being able to see them in person just by going over their house or meeting them at a local place.
As soon as I moved into my new home in the UK, I helped to establish the branch for the company. My many years of business experience helped me to make the new branch a successful one that would see a lot of people coming to it in order to get their shoes. The shoe brand had become popular all over the world thanks to how well it had done in other markets, and this was the first time that it was in the UK, so people were already excited to see that they could go to a store and get the shoes rather than getting them on the Internet.
